Projects Scaling Out for Impact Programme (SOFI): Sucrochem are currently working with the SOFI programme which is a collaboration between South Africa’s Technology Innovation Agency (TIA), Newton Fund, and Innovate UK. The programme aims to co- create innovations with a focus on serving low-income communities in South Africa’s townships and rural economies. Sucrochem have teamed up with BlockMark Technologies (UK) to develop a sugarcane wax product and simultaneously certify the provenance and secure the supply chain of such and other related South African products into the UK and Europe. More about this exciting project will be revealed later in 2021.
